These terms describe the agreement between you and Lokesh M when you create a Finwise account, use the app, or subscribe to a paid plan.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These terms form an agreement between you and Lokesh M ("Finwise", "we", "us"), the provider of the Finwise application. By creating an account, subscribing to a paid plan, or continuing to use Finwise, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service.
2. What Finwise is
Finwise is a web application for tracking and understanding your own money. You enter or import your accounts, transactions, transfers, categories, budgets, bills, savings goals, investments and SIP plans, loans and credit cards, and Finwise organises them into dashboards, reports, net-worth and cash-flow summaries, reminders, FIRE projections and rule-based insights. Finwise does not connect to your bank, does not move money, and does not execute any transaction on your behalf.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to enter into a binding contract, and legally able to agree to these terms. If you use Finwise on behalf of an organisation or household, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
4. Account registration and security
You must provide an accurate email address and keep your account details current. You are responsible for keeping your password and one-time sign-in codes confidential, for any activity under your account, and for the security of the email inbox and Google account used to sign in. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. We may require email verification before granting access.
5. Your responsibilities for your financial data
Finwise shows what you put into it. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the records you create, import or edit, and for reviewing balances, budgets and projections against your own bank and broker statements. Keep your own copies of anything important — you can export your transactions to CSV at any time. We are not responsible for decisions made from data that was entered incorrectly or left out.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not use Finwise for anything unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive.
- Do not attempt to access another user's account or data, bypass authentication, or probe, scan or test the security of the service.
- Do not upload malware, or upload content you do not have the right to store, including other people's personal data you have no basis to hold.
- Do not reverse engineer, copy, resell, sublicense or redistribute the service, or circumvent plan limits.
- Do not scrape the service or place automated load on it that degrades performance for others.
7. Finwise is not a financial adviser
This is important. Finwise is a self-service tracking and calculation tool for informational purposes only. Finwise is not a financial adviser, investment adviser, wealth manager, broker, dealer, tax adviser, accountant, auditor, insurance intermediary or law firm, and nothing in the product is regulated financial, investment, tax or legal advice or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything.
- FIRE scores, retirement corpus figures, target dates and any other projection are estimates produced by deterministic formulas from the assumptions and data you supply. They are not forecasts, promises or guarantees of any future outcome, return or retirement date.
- Insights, health scores, anomaly flags and assistant answers are generated by rule-based calculations over your own records. They are informational, may be incomplete or wrong if your data is incomplete, and must not be treated as professional advice.
- Investment values, gains and net worth reflect the figures you entered, not live market prices, unless the product explicitly states otherwise.
You remain solely responsible for your financial decisions. Consider consulting a qualified professional licensed in your jurisdiction before acting.
8. Plans and pricing
Finwise is offered on a free tier plus three paid plans:
- Free — no charge, limited to one account.
- Up — $5 / month or $48 / year (₹399 / month or ₹3,830 / year in India).
- Pro — $9 / month or $86.40 / year (₹749 / month or ₹7,190 / year in India).
- Family — $19 / month or $182.40 / year (₹1,499 / month or ₹14,390 / year in India), for up to 4 users.
Every paid plan can be billed monthly or annually. Annual billing is calculated as the monthly price for twelve months less 20%, so choosing annual saves you 20% compared with paying monthly for a year. Customers with a billing country of India are charged in Indian rupees (₹); customers elsewhere are charged in US dollars ($). Prices exclude any applicable sales tax, GST or VAT, which is calculated at checkout. Finwise does not currently offer a free trial of the paid plans; the free tier is available indefinitely.
9. Billing, renewals and payment providers
Payments are collected by our payment providers. If your billing country is India, your subscription is processed by Razorpay in INR. If your billing country is outside India, your subscription is processed by PayPal in USD. Your selected billing country is validated on our servers, and the currency, amount and provider for your subscription are determined there rather than in your browser.
Paid plans are recurring subscriptions — monthly or annual, as you choose — that renew automatically until cancelled. By completing checkout you authorise the relevant provider to charge your payment method the plan price plus applicable taxes at the start of each billing period. Card and payment credentials are entered with the provider and are never stored by Finwise. Your subscription status inside Finwise is updated only when we receive a verified confirmation from the provider, so there can be a short delay between paying and your plan changing.
If a recurring payment fails, the provider may retry it. We will show a billing notice in the app so you can update your payment method. We do not delete your account or your financial data because a payment failed.
10. Cancellation and refund requests
You can cancel a paid plan at any time from Settings → Plan & billing. Cancellation stops future renewals with your payment provider; paid access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, after which your account moves to the free tier. None of your accounts, transactions, budgets, bills, goals or investments are deleted when a subscription ends.
You may submit a refund request within 30 days of your first subscription payment. This is a request that we review — it is not an automatic or guaranteed refund, and any approved refund is issued through Razorpay or PayPal. Full details are in our Refund Policy.
11. Changes to plans and pricing
We may add, change or discontinue features and plans, and may change prices. Any price change for your existing subscription will be communicated by email or in the app before it applies, and takes effect from your next billing period so you can cancel first if you do not accept it. Continuing your subscription after the notice period means you accept the new price.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Finwise and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, if payment for a paid plan fails and remains unresolved after our provider's retries, if your use creates a security, legal or fraud risk, or if we are required to do so by law. Where reasonable and lawful we will warn you first and give you an opportunity to fix the problem.
13. Your data and account deletion
You own the financial records and files you put into Finwise. We use them only to provide the service and as described in our
Privacy Notice. You grant us the limited permission needed to host, process, back up and display that content to you. You can delete records in-app, export your transactions to CSV, and request full account deletion by emailing
support@usefinwiseai.com. After deletion your data is removed as described in the Privacy Notice and cannot be recovered, so export first.
14. Intellectual property
Finwise, including its software, interface, design, content and branding, remains our property and is protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use Finwise for your own personal or household financial management within the plan you are on. No other rights are granted.
15. Third-party services
Finwise depends on third parties, including our cloud hosting, database, authentication and storage provider (Lovable Cloud, built on Supabase), Google sign-in if you choose it, and Razorpay (India) or PayPal (international) for payments. Their availability and their own terms are outside our control, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions beyond our obligations to you under these terms.
16. Service availability
Finwise is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We aim for a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, error-free or loss-free operation, and we may perform maintenance, change or withdraw features, or experience outages caused by our providers. Offline mode caches parts of the interface only and may show data that is not current.
17. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that calculations, insights, reminders or projections are complete, accurate or suitable for your circumstances, or that the service will meet your requirements.
18. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, missed investment or tax opportunities, missed bill payments, or loss or corruption of data. Our total aggregate liability arising from or relating to Finwise is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.
19. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from third-party claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of Finwise, your breach of these terms, or content and personal data you stored in Finwise without the right to do so.
20. General
If any provision of these terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours in connection with a merger, acquisition or reorganisation. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
21. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product and our obligations change. The 'last updated' date above reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced in the app or by email before taking effect. Continued use after that point means you accept the updated terms.
